On December 21, 2023, President Jeffrey R. Holland posted a photo of his family. He also wrote a caption honoring mothers, including his late wife, Patricia Holland.

“No Church calling, no professional accomplishment, no personal achievement was more important to [Pat] than the firm faith of each member of this family. In short, she gave everything for this family. She was like Mary of old, who alone knew who her Son was and why she had to provide home and happiness for Him during His young life,” he wrote.

He continued, “To mothers everywhere who sacrifice for their family, I wish to say in this Christmas season that your sacrifice is not unnoticed—not by the leaders of the Church and not by our Father in Heaven who seeks always the care of His children.”

President Holland has been serving as president of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles since November 15, 2023. See his full post below.
