Myrna Clark is a passionate individual. Her favorite foods include butter with crackers, mud bowls that are more of liquid than solid, and pretty much anything her husband, Dustin, makes her. Ashli Carnicelli is a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from her Catholic upbringing in Boston. Ashli enjoys writing and sharing her testimony of Christ. She and her husband, Tony, are the parents of four daughters and reside in Charleston, South Carolina.
Caleb Farley grew up in Salt Lake City and served a mission in Sweden. He took off after the mission to live and study at the BYU Jerusalem Center where he traveled across the Near East, made lots of friends, and discovered his true identity as a bible nerd. He finished at BYU with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and recently at Utah State with a Master’s degree in psychological science. He’s now finalizing his clinical experience and building a research agenda at USU’s doctoral program in psychology with focuses in mindfulness-based mental health therapy, wellbeing, youth anxiety, and population health change. After finishing school, he wants to work somewhere where he can treat youth mental health, teach college, and publish research. He also loves running, swimming, hiking, good music, good food, reading, and hanging out with lots of friends.
Debby Barney is a mom to her three beautiful kids, two boys and one girl. She has been happily married to her childhood sweetheart for 20 years and there is no one else in the world that she loves to adventure with more than her husband Jake. They enjoy doing just about everything and nothing together all at the same time. Debby and Tammy met and became good friends while serving together in the Young Women’s program in their ward. Debby has been serving in her wards Young Women for over 7 years and absolutely loves it. She feels as though it is the perfect combination of learning for her own spiritual growth and opportunity to teach and serve others. Debby has had a deep love for the scriptures since she was young and loves any opportunity she has to discuss and learn from them.
With a passion for storytelling, Mattie uses her skills in her career as a freelance writer, creating copy for websites and blogs. In her spare time, you can find her on nature walks around her home where she has come face to face with a gator or bouncing around her small kitchen creating and baking delicious food. Mattie is originally from Massachusetts and currently resides in Deltona, Florida, with her husband and their two cats.
Harry L. Michael, born and raised on Beardy's Reservation, became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ after witnessing his parents and younger siblings' baptism when he was around 19. He retired after working with First Nation organizations, and with federal and provincial correctional systems. During his career, he helped create healing facilities and cultural programs for indigenous incarcerated offenders in the Criminal Justice system. In the Church, he has served as a member of the bishopric, branch presidency, and as a stake high councilor.
Russell T. Osguthorpe has authored four books and more than 70 articles on religion and education. He holds a PhD in instructional psychology and has served as a professor and administrator at Brigham Young University. He has also served in a variety of Church callings, including serving as Sunday School general president from 2009-2014. He has conducted seminars in more than 25 countries and speaks several languages. He recently published a book titled Filled with His Love.
