Among the 25 people President Donald Trump has listed as prospective candidates for the Supreme Court, LDS brothers Mike and Thomas Lee are both named. About his brother, Mike Lee said, "He is as bright and capable a lawyer and as sharp a legal mind as anyone I've ever worked with."
With the World Cup in full swing, many around the world are caught up in the competition, scores, and standings. But Sister Reyna I. In April of 2012 the leadership of the Fort Herriman Utah Stake had a problem. The stake had grown faster than anticipated and there would be too many youth to put together a traditional pioneer trek the following year. It was decided that instead of going on the traditional trek, the youth of the stake would experience the Restoration of the gospel through reenacted events from Church history occurring during the years 1820–1847.
When Typhoon Haiyan struck the central Philippine islands on 8 November, more than 10,000 Filipinos sought refuge with 4,000 of their Mormon neighbors in 200 chapels of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Even though several meetinghouses were damaged, all inside were protected. The video below shows how these sturdy structures now shelter hundreds of displaced families while also providing humanitarian support to those in need in dozens of ravaged communities.
