Many families can’t afford needed clothes or new toys for Christmas. Amy Johnson, one of LDS Living’s contributing authors, said she and her family go around the house every year and find old toys and items to fix up for local charities. They transform one room in their house into “Santa’s Workshop,” where they sew, paint, and wrap the toys to prepare them for other children.
