Many of my best childhood memories were with my Grandmother Hansen. Though she passed away a few years ago, she left a legacy of service for me and her posterity. When she wasn’t serving others, she was practicing hymns on her 100-year-old piano. The dark-wooded upright was ornately carved and was her most prized possession because it had belonged to her mother. The LDS hymn, Because I Have Been Given Much, is one that has always reminded me of Grandma because she played it often when I was young and revealed to me once that it was her favorite.

New missionaries can expect to add an extra hour to that for companionship study with your trainer. Some missionaries have a hard time adjusting. It is a large chunk of your day after all, and you have to sit, be diligent and focus. It takes a lot of getting used to.
