To become a dedicated disciple individuals must do more than just "watch the race," said Sister Elaine S. Dalton, Young Women general president, during a campus devotional held in the Marriott Center at BYU on Jan. 15. "To those who listen carefully, the Lord regularly prompts us to act," she said. "Never before has this been more so than now. I believe the Lord is calling to each of us to become dedicated disciples."

Jared Ward and Alden Bahr capped a successful first day at the 2012 NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships by earning All-America honors in the 10,000 meters on Jim Duncan Track at Drake Stadium. “It was a very good first day,” BYU men’s coach Mark Robison said. “Jared (Ward) was unbelievable and Alden (Bahr) also ran extremely well.
