38: "I Am the Law, and the Light" (September 21–27)

This week’s lesson is going to be riveting. Can you even imagine what it must have been like to hear Christ pray or learn at His feet? There is just so much to study in 3 Nephi 12–16 that we could spend a lifetime learning from the Savior's words. So, as a roller coaster operator would say, “take a seat and buckle up. Please safely store any loose items or clothing. Keep your eyes forward, head up, and be sure to enjoy the ride” as we dig into this week’s lesson.

6: "Noah Found Grace in the Eyes of the Lord" (Genesis 6–11; Moses 8)

You may have heard these lyrics sung around a campfire before: “The Lord said to Noah, ‘There’s gonna be a floody, floody.’” And yes, that song will now be on repeat in your head all week—you’re welcome. But we couldn't resist because these words perfectly illustrate what we will be studying this week: Noah and the flood. So grab your scriptures because we are going to dig into Genesis 6–11 and Moses 8 to study what exactly caused this flood and what happened to Noah and his family once the waters receded.

36: “Ye Are the Body of Christ” (1 Corinthians 8–13)

Charity never fails—now that’s a powerful promise. And it’s a truth that can especially be helpful to remember when you are unsure how to move forward. This week, we will read what Paul taught the Saints about charity’s power in 1 Corinthians 8–13. And perhaps one of the most important takeaways is this: we all have a place in Christ’s church, and charity is how we will help everyone feel just how much they belong.

LDS Utahn Saves Team from Elimination, Sees New Baby on 'The Biggest Loser'

Utahn Hap Holmstead lost 13 pounds this week — the most of any of the five Blue Team members on week two of NBC’s “The Biggest Loser: Second Chances” and saving his team from elimination — and he also got to see his new baby son. His wife was 8½ months pregnant when he left for “The Biggest Loser,” and she had their third child, a baby boy, while he was away. He made a video call during the episode to see his wife, newborn son and two young daughters, who adorably blew kisses to their father and showed off their baby brother.
