Jenn Knight: On the Other Side of the Veil

No mother should ever have to bury her child. Jenn Knight has been through the heartbreaking experience twice, all while suffering multiple forms of cancer due to a genetic mutation. But on today’s episode, Jen speaks of angels—both the heavenly and the earthly kind. As she wrote on her blog, "The room sometimes feels crowded with others. ... I firmly believe that these spiritual wind gusts are ethereal angels God has sent to comfort and help us from the other side.”

31: "Thou Art Come … for Such a Time as This" (Esther)

Here’s a fun fact: did you know that the name Esther means star in Persian? And when you consider Esther’s story in the Old Testament, there’s obviously no coincidence that one of the greatest biblical heroines was given that name. In fact, as we study this incredible book of scripture this week, we’re going to see how brightly Esther shined in the midst of terrible adversity. Not only was she incredibly brave even when faced with death, but she also had an enduring faith in Jesus Christ that ultimately led to the salvation of an entire nation.

33: “The Power of God unto Salvation” (Romans 1–6)

You know when you get a letter in the mail that you’ve been looking forward to? There’s something exciting about discovering what’s inside, knowing you are reading words that are meant just for you. Well today, we’re going to begin our 17-week study of the letters, or epistles, from the Apostles—and we’re going to focus first on Paul. We’ll start by discussing Romans 1–6 and find that though these letters may not have been written directly to us, we can still look forward to learning many things from them today.

Eva Timothy: Recognizing Light
