Several neighbors living in the Westchase neighborhood at the southeastern edge of Fort Collins are asking Larimer County commissioners to stop plans for a temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The church wants to build a temple at the southeast corner of Trilby and Timberline roads just outside of Fort Collins city limits.

The Mormon church is poised to become the largest private landowner in Florida as a result of a deal to buy nearly 400,000 acres in the state's Panhandle region.
