The Museum of Church History and Art first opened its doors in 1984. But when the Church History Library and other similar buildings began construction in 2008, the building that housed hundreds of LDS art and artifacts from around the world shortened its name to the Church History Museum to make things more consistent.

A June Gallup poll found that 18 percent of Republicans wouldn’t vote for a Mormon for President.
