Joseph F.’s party is confronted by a band of rough and tumble men on horseback, looking to pick a fight with any Mormons they can find. Joseph F.’s fellow travelers scatter, and when one burly ruffian pointedly asks Joseph F. if he is a Mormon, the young returned missionary responds, “Yes, siree, dyed-in-the-wool; true blue, through and through,” diffusing the tense confrontation by staying true to his identity. But was he really “dyed-in-the-wool, true blue, through and through”?
While most were celebrating the beginning of the Christmas season, one LDS family suffered a tragic loss in Caledonia, Wisconsin. While returning home from a Thanksgiving dinner with family on Friday, Kevin Dalley's car was hit by a drunk driver. Kevin and his 9-year-old daughter, Emily, were killed while the Dalley's 6-year-old daughter was left injured.

Surrounded by young women playing the violin and viola and accompanied by 14-year-old Sara Arkell on the piano, Layla sang the song, "I Ask in Faith," which she posted to her YouTube account.

We already know Latter-day Saints are a peculiar people. Oftentimes, our standards and values clash with those of the world. We know we should strive to love and understand those who are different than us, but what about those within our own wards and neighborhoods? Do we have as much patience and love for those who hold similar beliefs to us?
