Over the decades, an increasing number of women have spoken in general conference. From 1986 to now, here's a look back at some powerful talks given by the sister leaders of the Church.

There is an email being forwarded around that claims that there is a baptismal font deep inside the Basilica of St. Paul that was used for the purposes of baptism for the dead. Here is the text of the original email: This photo was taken by Kevin Barton, grandson of Keith Barton, a Stake Patriarch, when Kevin was on his mission to Italy in 2001. These pictures were taken in Rome at St. Paul’s Cathedral which is centuries old. Kevin found a chained off area of the Cathedral, which he shouldn’t have entered but did, and discovered this old unused, I’m sure for hundreds of years, baptismal font with a mosaic inscription above it indicating it was used for baptisms for the dead.. There are probably more old Cathedrals in Italy (If they haven’t been remodeled) that still have these closed off fonts that were used centuries ago.. I wonder why they stopped ? This is truly profound and amazing.

Not wanting to resort to Victorian-era dresses with impeccable detail, skirts hemlines that pass the shoes, high necklines, and sleeves to wrists (I get claustrophobic just thinking about all of it), many resort to time-consuming personal creations, or (don’t say it!) dowdy “mom wear” in order to avoid trendy mini-length sweater dresses, low necklines, or sleeveless blouses.

On December 6, 2009, two-year-old Gardy Mardy, whose father, Guesno, was serving as a counselor in the Haiti Port-au-Prince Mission presidency, was kidnapped from an LDS meetinghouse. Seven years later, the child rescue organization Operation Underground Railroad continues the search for Gardy, and according to the O.U.R. Facebook page, rescuers are closer than ever and are requesting your prayers.
