In a TV drama fraught with graphic violence that follows a group of FBI profilers as they dive into the twisted psyches of criminals, it's a little unexpected to hear an uplifting quote from one of the Lord's chosen apostles. But that's what viewers of the popular CBS show Criminal Minds experienced when they watched a story about a serial killer and her son.

Prime Minister Impressed with LDS Classic "Jesus the Christ," Reads It Twice

Elder D. Todd Christofferson recently returned from a historic trip to the Pacific. While visiting the Solomon Islands (the first apostle to do so since 1987) he met with Prime Minister Sogavare, who told Elder Christofferson he had read James E. Chris Williams: Forgiveness and the Worth of a Soul

On Feb. 9, 2007, Chris Williams and his family were driving home from a night out together when their vehicle was struck by a 17-year-old drunk driver. That night, Chris lost his wife, Michelle, who was pregnant with their fifth child; his son Ben; and his daughter, Anna. Three days later, Chris Williams spoke publicly for the first time following the accident and extended unconditional forgiveness to that 17-year-old young man, a decision he has stood by for more than 12 years.

It's easy to think of "faith" as a super basic topic, but it can be much harder to figure out what it actually looks like IRL (in real life). And we'll learn that we too can have sacred moments of comfort and peace during our most difficult trials.
