14: “He Shall Rise … with Healing in His Wings” (March 30–April 12)

What do you know about the Marys? That’s right, Marys. There are actually several Marys mentioned throughout the New Testament, and many had a personal connection to the Savior. In this week’s Sunday on Monday study group, we’re going to learn more about four of these Marys: Mary the mother of Jesus, Mary of Bethany, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the wife of Cleopas and their powerful testimonies of the Savior.

But if you don’t, this episode is still for you because today we are talking about one of the most monumental moments in all of scripture: the rebuilding of the temple at Jerusalem. This event was crucial to the Jews who had gone without a temple since their Babylonian captivity. And after the past two years of a worldwide pandemic, we can relate to their hardships and the joys of having a temple once again, even if we have no idea how to read a blueprint.

43: “Perfect That Which Is Lacking in Your Faith” (1 and 2 Thessalonians)

The Thessalonian Saints were known as examples “to all that believe” and news of their faith spread to cities abroad (1 Thessalonians 1:7). But Paul knew that faithfulness in the past is not sufficient for spiritual survival in the future, and he was wary of the influence of false teachers. In today’s discussion of Thessalonians, we get to read Paul’s specific messages for these Saints. Messages that can help us continue to “perfect that which is lacking in [our] faith” and to “increase more and more” in love.

39: “Comfort Ye My People” (Isaiah 40–49)

What brings you comfort or peace? If we asked a child that question, their answer might be an ice cream cone or a trip to Disneyland. And while the kid in many of us may find solace in a little ice cream, we’ve likely found deeper sources of comfort; things like a good conversation with someone we trust or a long hug. But the deepest and most lasting peace comes from a knowledge of Christ and His plan. You’ll want to get comfortable for this week’s lesson in Isaiah 40-49, because Isaiah’s words are just what a weary soul needs.
