Joshua M. Matson is a scholar of the Bible and the Dead Sea Scrolls and an assistant professor in ancient scripture at Brigham Young University with an appointment to the Jerusalem Center where he teaches classes related to the Old and New Testaments, the Book of Mormon, and Ancient History. Josh holds a PhD in religion from Florida State University, with an emphasis in religions of western antiquity and a minor in American religious history. In addition to his academic training, Josh spent time teaching with Seminaries and Institutes of Religion, with appointments as a Religious Educator at Bingham High School and as a teacher and director of the Tallahassee Institute of Religion. Josh and his wife Erin are the parents of four children and reside in Santaquin, Utah.

The CNN show Out Front with Erin Burnett did a radical thing on Wednesday. They had a discussion about Mitt Romney's Mormon faith and they actually invited a real live member of the Mormon Church to the segment to talk about it! What a revolutionary idea! No pundits, no outside observers, no disaffected Mormons, no academics who have studied the church from a distance for years, but someone who actually knows what they are talking about because they live and practice the faith.

Christopher Jones is a father, husband, and historian. A graduate of Brigham Young University (BA, 2007; MA, 2009) and the College of William & Mary (PhD, 2016), he is currently an assistant professor of history at BYU, where he teaches a variety of courses, including Revolutionary America, African American Family History, Slavery and the Slave Trade, Family and Law in American History, and Missions and Missionaries in American History. His research focuses on religion, race, slavery, and family in early America and the Atlantic World, and his work has been published in Religion & American Culture: A Journal of Interpretation, the Journal of Mormon History, and BYU Studies Quarterly. He is currently completing two book projects - a study of Methodism in Revolutionary America and a co-edited volume on Protestant and Latter-day Saint missions in American History. Christopher lives in South Jordan, Utah with his wife, Karim—a content creator, author, and photographer—and their four children. As a family, they enjoy food (both cooking and eating), hiking, reading, travel, and sports.
