The Church reported Tuesday that all Church missionaries would be moved out of areas affected by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan (See full coverage on the press conference). All missionaries have now been moved to their new areas and are far from areas of concern. Church leaders and representatives from Church headquarters are currently working with government and humanitarian organizations to provide assistance. Local leaders are also handling the needs of members of the Church in Japan.

As we say goodbye to summer vacations and summer filler television shows, we see a changing season: School is in and fall television welcomes Mormons once again. It can and will be said again and again: This isn’t the first time there have been LDS contestants on a reality show. Some contestants in recent memory have included two men on ABC’s summer competition, “Expedition Impossible."
In the Church, we often struggle with the idea of perfection. The Savior's command to "be ye therefore perfect" is a tall order. And in the age of Instagram and Pinterest—where everything is cropped and photoshopped to "perfection"—it might seem like perfection is far beyond our grasp.
