Dan Truman and Jason Deere aren’t your typical Nashville-based singer-songwriters. They founded an inspirational hit band that’s captured the attention of the Christian world with its tributes to the Bible, missionary work, Jesus Christ, and more. We recently asked them about their new album and what they love about music.

Before she was formally set apart as the Relief Society general president, President Brigham Young asked Sister Eliza R. Snow to assist bishops in organizing Relief Societies and to teach the women.

Over the years many people have often wondered what kind of organization is the Inspirational Art Association? According to Cindy Latimore the organization's Director and Curator, the IAA which it is often referred, shares that its purpose is as stated in their mission statement: Our mission is to foster the creation and promotion of inspirational art, to showcase wholesome content, and to extend its influence to individuals, homes, and communities throughout the world. Over the years the IAA not only has brought inspiring artists together from around the world but also has extended its presence in the world of music. All art mediums and music are considered inspirational. Since 2010 when the IAA was first organized, it has grown to be a worldwide organization. The yearly summer photoshoots and the Christmas Season Art Showcase embodies exactly what the organization has held true to since the IAA’s beginning. In my capacity as the Director, I assist in promoting, networking, educating, and keeping this magnificent organization in the limelight to help not only the artists themselves but to share their stories. Not only is the artwork or song inspiring but the artist had to have inspiration prior to painting or producing their masterpieces that people hunger to know about.

Often we influence each other in ways that we will never know or understand, but sometimes, we are gifted the opportunity to see how we touch each other’s lives for good.

Technology can be an amazing blessing. It allows us to connect with family and friends, to spread the gospel, to participate in family history work, and to access spiritual and educational resources almost instantly. While technology can be a powerful tool for good, it can also be a distraction from the things that matter most. In a CES devotional for young adults, Elder Ballard taught:

The dream was always the same. I’d find myself lying in the middle of the street in front of our house on Hawthorne Avenue in Pocatello, Idaho. It’s as vivid in my mind today as it was a half century ago when the dream repeated itself on multiple occasions. I was lying facedown, looking up the street (we lived on a hill), while feeling the pavement pressing against my body and hands. At first it was not unpleasant; in fact, the pavement was warm and supportive. But then something alerted me, and I looked to see a car coming down the street directly toward me. I pressed down with my hands so I could get up and run, but my arms were not strong enough to make me move. Frantic, since the car wasn’t slowing, I struggled to crawl out of its way, straining with all the strength in my legs, but they wouldn’t move either. It was as if I was glued to the pavement! The car was getting closer and closer, and I tried to scream, but all that came out was a gurgling sort of strangled sound, certainly not enough to alert the driver. As the car was almost upon me, my heart pounded and the terror was so intense that the panic woke me!
