What started as a lullaby for a father’s daughter is now available for the world to hear.
This word repeatedly resurfaces and is at the core of the plan of happiness itself.
Published in 1899, the first Church handbook was small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. The world has changed greatly since then, and so has the handbook.

It's always an incredible experience to see the inside of a temple before its dedication, and here's what one nonmember said about his experience at the Cedar City Utah Temple.
There's an excitement felt by all members when a new temple is announced. Whether these temples are built in a nearby city, state, province, or country across the world, it's exciting to see temples continue to dot the earth and bring eternal blessings to Latter-day Saint families.
Mormons across the nation held their missionary-minded breath when Mitt Romney became the Republican presidential nominee, unsure about whether all the accompanying media attention would be good or bad for their proselytizing church. Now, it seems, these anxious Latter-day Saints can exhale. Most people — particularly Utahns — believe that, on balance, Romney’s run for the highest office in the land has benefited the faith.
At Magnify, our mission during this special week before Easter is to help us all feel a little holier by focusing on strengthening our relationship with Jesus Christ. As women, we can be powerful forces for good in witnessing the Savior in our every day lives. We can look to the example of the first witness who was a woman, Mary Magdalene.
The concept of priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is unique. A portion of God's power is delegated to "individuals who He knows perfectly well are imperfect." How does that work? As authors, Dale and Ruth Renlund ask, "How is it conceivable that His awesome, delicate power could be used by both an illiterate farmer and a rocket scientist—to equal effect—in the salvation of humankind?" Understanding the doctrine of the priesthood and the principles that govern its use is a pursuit worth of any member of the Church, but one that should be of special concern to those who hold or are preparing to hold the Melchizedek Priesthood. This careful explanation offers a perfect way to enhance your knowledge and appreciation of priesthood power and how to use it.
In the early morning hours of the school year, Doug Babcock taught four students the scriptures in a seminary class of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Robertsdale area of the Daphne Ward in Mobile, Ala. The class was studying the Old Testament, but he felt impressed to share the story of the talents from Matthew 25 in the New Testament. Discussing this parable that Jesus shared during his ministry, he put his students to the test. He challenged them to multiply their talents. He gave each student $10 and challenged them to multiply it in some way and then use it for good. The venture was on and a search for a project to accomplish this goal was the constant thought of his students. A few days later an idea was discussed and a plan was created.
