To meet historic demand, the First Presidency has announced that the Washington D.C. Temple open house dates will be extended and the rededication of the temple will be pushed back to later this summer.

Originally, the open house was scheduled to run from April 28 through June 4. But nearly 50% of the available parking reservations were filled within two weeks of the open house announcement, Newsroom reported, and many more people expressed interest in participating in the open house. Now the open house will run through mid-August to accommodate general interest.
