3 new temple locations announced in Austria, Pennsylvania, and Virginia

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released the locations for three new temples. They are the Vienna Austria Temple, the Harrisburg Pennsylvania Temple and the Winchester Virginia Temple.

Vienna Austria Temple

The Vienna Austria Temple was announced on April 4, 2021, by Church President Russell M. Nelson. This sacred house of the Lord will be built on a 0.80-acre site located at Silbergasse 2, Vienna, Austria. Plans call for a multi-story temple of approximately 15,300 square feet. This will be the first temple in the country.


Harrisburg Pennsylvania Temple

The Harrisburg Pennsylvania Temple was announced on April 2, 2023, by Church President Russell M. Nelson. This sacred house of the Lord will be built on a 5.36-acre site located at 605 Rutherford Road., Harrisburg, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania 17109. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 20,000 square feet. This will be the first temple in Harrisburg and the third in the state. Other temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Pennsylvania are the Philadelphia Pennsylvania Temple and the Pittsburgh Pennsylvania Temple, which is under construction.


Winchester Virginia Temple

The Winchester Virginia Temple was announced on April 2, 2023, by Church President Russell M. Nelson. This sacred house of the Lord will be built on an 11.27-acre site located at 200 Merrimans Lane Winchester, Frederick County, Virginia 22601. Plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 30,000 square feet.
