The Church has released a new Easter-themed video on YouTube and ChurchofJesusChrist.org. Titled “The Good News,” the video is unusual among Church-produced videos as it’s presented in a wide-aspect ratio that gives it a more cinematic feel.
The two-minute video depicts Mary Magdalene visiting the empty tomb following Jesus’s Resurrection. As Mary runs to tell others that the Lord has risen, the video cuts to modern-day depictions of people today dashing through hospital corridors and rushing to embrace loved ones.
The video concludes with Mary declaring in Aramaic the good news to the Apostles: “He lives!”
