‘All In’ podcast host answers: What does it mean to be all in the gospel of Jesus Christ?

As I’ve thought about the announcement of a new temple in Ephraim and a revision to the Manti temple renovation plans, my mind keeps reflecting on a truth echoed by Church leaders at the press conference: the decision was an answer to prayer.

In 1847, a teenage Green Flake, as an enslaved person, was sent to trek 1,500 miles across the Western frontier to prepare a path for the pioneer trek of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Green Flake helped pave the way for over 70,000+ to follow—the largest pioneer migration in American history.

Mary is perhaps the most significant mother in all of history. She alone was chosen to be the mother of the only begotten Son, a task that was not only daunting but had significant implications for Mary. As we more fully understand her entire story, not just the moment she became a mother, or even the moment she saw the Savior die on the cross, we can gain a truly remarkable view into the life of this amazing woman.

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced that the Salvador Brazil Temple groundbreaking will be held in August 2021. A rendering of the temple has also been released.

Nearly 13 years have passed since a plane crash left 80% of Stephanie Nielson’s body burned. In the years since she has served as a beacon of hope for other burn victims and as a reminder to the rest of us of the value of life. On April 29, 2021, Stephanie and her husband, Christian, were honored by the Arizona Burn Center at Valleywise Health as part of their “Night of Heroes.” A short documentary about the Nielsons created for the event is now available to view online. In the video, Stephanie says it was seeing her eyes for the first time following her accident that changed her perspective and her outcome.

Just one month ago, President Russell M. Nelson shared 20 new temples would be built in locations around the world. And on Saturday, May 1, President Nelson broke his tradition of announcing temples during general conference with the announcement of a temple in Ephraim, Utah.

During the April 2021 general conference, eight new General Authority Seventies and 77 new Area Seventies received calls. The 106 General Authority Seventies make up the First and Second Quorum of the Seventies, whereas the Area Seventies make up the other ten quorums.
