We all feel inadequate. Pres. Freeman teaches what Christ would have us do next

Members of the Church first met Tom Christofferson when he wrote his first book, That We May Be One: A Gay Mormon’s Perspective on Faith & Family. The book told the story of how the love of those around him, including his immediate family, brought him back to the gospel of Jesus Christ after spending two decades away from the Church. In his new book, A Better Heart, Christofferson explores Christlike love in greater depth, but in both books there is one standout character: his mother.

In a letter to leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the United States and Canada, President M. Russell Ballard, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, encouraged leaders to look for ways to reconnect with youth in 2021 through local ward or stake youth conferences and Young Women and Aaronic Priesthood camps. The For the Strength of Youth (FSY) conferences (gatherings of teenagers from dozens of congregations) are postponed in the United States and Canada until 2022.

Mexico is home to nearly 1.4 million members of the Church and there are 13 temples in the country. Now, it also has a young single adult (YSA) ward.

On Wednesday night’s episode of The Masked Dancer, Latter-day Saint activist Elizabeth Smart was revealed to be the woman behind the mask of the Moth. Smart jokingly said that “it’s been one of the bravest things that I’ve willingly done in my life,” and TODAY called it “one of the more surprising . . . reveals in the show’s history.” But what motivated Smart to appear on the show?

In this week's episode of This Is the Gospel, Anna's mother is diagnosed with terminal breast cancer. With all the faith her 9-year-old self can muster, she prays for her mother to be healed. But on October 13, 2005, Anna wakes up to the news that her mother had passed away. Full of grief and anger, Anna decides God must not answer her prayers at all. It's not until years later that a scripture changes Anna's mind.
