General conference will no longer include a Saturday evening session

On November 19, 2025, the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced that, beginning in April 2026, general conference will no longer include a Saturday evening session.

Here is a look back at the last 10 years of Saturday evening sessions of general conference:

  • All Saturday evening sessions from October 2022 to October 2025 were held as general sessions for all Church members.

Previous Saturday evening sessions were held as follows:

  • April 2022: women’s session
  • October 2021: general session for all Church members
  • April 2021: priesthood session
  • October 2020: women’s session
  • April 2020: general session for all Church members
  • October 2019: women’s session
  • April 2019: general priesthood session
  • October 2018: general women’s session
  • April 2018: general priesthood session
  • October 2017: general priesthood session (a general women’s session was also held that year on Saturday, September 23)
  • April 2017: general priesthood session (a general women’s session was also held that year on Saturday, April 1)
  • October 2016: priesthood session (a general women’s session was also held that year on September 24)
  • April 2016: general priesthood session (a general women’s session was also held that year on Saturday, March 26)
  • October 2015: general priesthood session (a general women’s session was also held that year on Saturday, September 26)
  • April 2015: general priesthood session (a general women’s session was also held that year on Saturday, March 28)
