Kirby Heyborne to emcee RootsTech 2023

To pump up the crowd and bring a vibrant, fun energy to RootsTech 2023, Latter-day Saint actor, songwriter, singer, comedian, and narrator Kirby Heyborne will be taking the stage. Heyborne will serve as the official RootsTech emcee, introducing keynote speakers as well as highlighting classes and standout experiences, for the three-day conference taking place in Salt Lake City March 2–4.

Many members of the Church are familiar with Heyborne’s early acting career in Latter-day Saint classic films like The Singles Ward (2002), The R.M. (2003), and The Best Two Years (2003). Since the early 2000s, Heyborne has gone on to star in commercials for Best Buy and Verizon, narrate popular books such as Gone Girl, and host the BYU TV show Making Good. Today he and his high-school sweetheart, Trisha, have three children. Their daughter is currently serving a full-time mission.

Both online RootsTech participants and in-person attendees will be able to watch Heyborne in action. FamilySearch has also announced that American Idol season 6 winner Jordin Sparks will be a keynote speaker for RootsTech 2023. You can learn more about how to register for RootsTech here.
