We all have times when answers come easily. We have times when answers come clearly and distinctly. And we all have times when we really pray about something and seemingly receive no answer. On some such occasions, we may feel that we've conscientiously followed the instructions in Doctrine and Covenants 9:7-9. We have studied the issue out in our minds, prayed about it (perhaps we even fasted), and asked the Lord if our decision or understanding is right. But after all that, we still do not feel we have received a burning in the bosom—or a stupor of thought—and thus it appears we are left to our own resources to try to solve the problem. Or we may be certain we have received an answer—but then things don't work out the way we thought they would.

LDS couple Scott and Ryceejo Shattuck recently teamed up with another husband and wife duo, Reilly and McKenzie Zamber, to create a Disney mashup of epic proportions. Though the couples live in different states and never performed in the same room together, through "countless messages, video chats, calls, and file-shares," according to Scott, they were able to combine Coco's Academy Award-winning "Remember Me" with Tarzan's Academy Award-winning "You'll Be in My Heart." For several years now, we have collected hundreds of personal stories from young adults in the Church telling us how they were taught about sexuality. We are particularly intrigued by how frequently we are told by young people that their parents and Church leaders used object lessons to teach them about the law of chastity. Much can be learned from understanding the metaphors and messages that are intentionally—and unintentionally—expressed in these types of lessons.
