Elder Soares answered a variety of questions about the name of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, his calling and responsibilities as an Apostle, the Church’s humanitarian efforts and interest in family history.
Elder Alvin F. Meredith III (known by friends as “Trip”) will succeed President Henry J. Eyring, who has led the university since 2017, on August 1, 2023.
