The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has released the locations of three temples announced in April 2021 by Church President Russell M. Nelson.
The Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra at Temple Square have announced dates and venues for their rescheduled Heritage Tour. The tour was originally postponed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The choir will perform in seven cities across four Nordic countries and the United Kingdom, leaving Salt Lake City on June 16, 2022, and returning to the United States on July 7, 2022. The tour will include performances in the following cities and venues:
In May of this year, President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was named as a recipient of an honorary doctoral degree during an all-virtual commencement for the University of Utah. On Tuesday, June 15, thanks to the easing of local COVID-19 restrictions, university officials delivered the honorary degree citation and doctoral hood during an in-person visit in the Church Administration Building on Temple Square.
Latter-day Saint youth in the United States and Canada will be able to attend For the Strength of Youth (FSY) conferences again beginning in the summers of 2022 and 2023. The conferences, provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, were postponed over the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
