Christmas celebrations on Temple Square in Salt Lake City, Utah, usually include hundreds of musical performances throughout the month of December. Because of COVID-19 restrictions, Temple Square Performances will hold its Christmas concerts virtually this year, and all are invited to participate.
A missionary serving for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has passed away in Switzerland on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. The following statement is from Church spokesman Daniel Woodruff:
The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints issued the following letter in English and Spanish on October 6, 2020, to Church members in the United States in advance of that nation’s upcoming election on November 3, 2020.
During the Saturday afternoon session of the October 2020 general conference, President Henry B. Eyring of the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced the calls of a new General Authority Seventy, a new member of the Presiding Bishopric and four new Area Seventies. He also noted the releases of one member of the Presiding Bishopric, three General Authority Seventies and 47 Area Seventies.
People passing through Main Street Plaza on Temple Square can now look through the construction project fence windows and see some 170 years into the past.
