43: "I Speak unto You As If Ye Were Present" (Mormon 7–9)

It can be easy to look at the world today with devastating natural disasters, a sweeping pandemic, and horrifying social injustices and assume the day of miracles has passed. But that’s simply not the case. In this week’s study group, we’ll dig into Mormon 7–9 to find that not only do miracles still exist today, but we can experience them in our lives as we seek to come closer to Christ.

6: "That You May Come Off Conqueror" (Doctrine and Covenants (10–11)

Do you remember a time when you were at a low point and someone knew just what to say to help you feel better? Maybe they shared some advice that you still use today or maybe it was a few words of encouragement you’ll never forget. For Joseph Smith, it was a little of both. In this week’s lesson, we’ll be studying Doctrine and Covenants 10–11 where we find words of encouragement and advice God has for all of us.

Marie Osmond: Working for Our Faith

When Marie Osmond was a little girl, her mom told her that she could gain a testimony of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon for herself. The witness she received in answer to her prayers has carried her in the 50 years since. She has spent her life in the spotlight and it has not been a life without challenges or mistakes, but Marie has stood by her faith again and again. On today’s episode, Marie reveals how her faith, a knowledge of the Atonement of Christ, temple attendance, and an understanding of eternal families has carried her throughout her life.

11: Be Reconciled unto God through the Atonement of Christ (March 9–March 15)

Have you ever had to have an uncomfortable conservation with a loved one? That’s exactly what happened to the prophet Jacob when he had a tough conversation with his family and friends about pride, chastity, and “a grosser crime." But his words about these topics weren’t all bleak. In fact, in this week’s Sunday on Monday study group, we’re digging into Jacob 1–4 to learn how Jacob’s words apply to us today and how they can lead to hope and healing for us all.

12: The Lord Labors with Us (March 16–March 22)

So you’ve survived the Isaiah chapters and maybe even feel a little bit more confident about this prophet's teachings, but now you’ve hit Jacob 5—the longest chapter in the Book of Mormon. And if you feel a little overwhelmed about this chapter and what the allegory of the olive tree represents, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. In this week’s Sunday on Monday study group, we’re going to dig into Jacob 5–7 to learn more about the symbolism of the allegory of the olive tree and Jacob’s final message to us.

41: “I Will Order All Things for Your Good” (Doctrine and Covenants 111–114)

Of all the relationships we have over a lifetime, there is only one we carry with us wherever we go: Our relationship with God and Jesus Christ. As we better understand who They are, we will also more clearly see ourselves and our place in the world. This knowledge was crucial for early members as they faced, “one of the severest trials for many of the Ohio Saints.” It is equally important for us today to know God and the Savior as we face severe trials. So grab your scriptures, and let’s dig into Doctrine and Covenants 111–114.

Tree of Life

Claudia faces one of the darkest nights of her life—both literally and figuratively—when she is taken hostage and held for ransom. Her only comfort comes in the form of a radiant sign from God that He loves her and is aware of her situation. When she is finally let go, she embarks on a journey to seek for more light and develops a relationship with God that she never would have imagined was possible.

7: "To Be a Greater Follower of Righteousness" (Genesis 12–17; Abraham 1–2)

Do you remember a time when you made a promise? And not just a silly pinky promise about something trivial, but a promise so serious it was practically an oath? Abraham knew all about making and keeping these kinds of promises. In this week's discussion, we're going to study about a covenant he made with God in Genesis 12–17 and Abraham 1–2 and learn how we can enter into that same promise.

8: "Is Any Thing Too Hard for the Lord?" (Genesis 18–23)

Have you ever felt a prompting to do something that seemed so impossible, you could only shake your head in disbelief? But then somehow, God intervened and everything turned out better than you could have imagined? We read about Sarah experiencing those same feelings when the Lord tells her she is going to have a son way past her childbearing years. This week, we'll dig into Genesis chapters 18–23 and learn from the stories of Abraham, Sarah, and Isaac about how nothing is too hard for the Lord—and how our disbelief can be turned into rejoicing.
