Jenet Jacob Erickson is an associate professor in Religious Education at Brigham Young University. The 5th of 11 children, she was raised on a small farm in Orem, Utah, where they did lots of music together. She received a PhD in Family Social Science from the University of Minnesota, after completing a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and master’s degree in Linguistics -TESOL at BYU. She is a research fellow of both the Wheatley Institution and the Institute for Family Studies and has been a columnist on family issues for the Deseret News since 2013. She and her husband, Michael, have been blessed with two children, LaDawn (age 13) and Peter (age 10), who provide them unending opportunities for learning and joy. When not studying about or writing about the family, she loves learning, traveling and doing music with her family.
Kendra Bybee is a freelance writer and full time artist originally from the Flint Hills of Kansas. Utah has been her home since 2003, when she arrived to attend, and eventually graduate, from Brigham Young University. Raised with exposure to many different faith traditions and people with diverse backgrounds, her love of Jesus Christ was established during her teenage years. She enjoys teaching and discussing the gospel in formal and informal settings. She and her husband are the proud parents of a daughter who continually reminds them to give thanks to God.
Tiffany Larson is a proud mom of three amazing children, 2 boys and 1 girl (ages, 18, 15, and 12). With all three children heavily involved with sporting events, you can find Tiffany at the football fields, soccer fields, volleyball courts, or a basketball court. One of her favorite things to do is watch her kids play sports. It is so fun to watch them succeed and have fun in what they love to do. Children keep life entertaining, busy, exciting, and fun. She's been married to her husband for 21 years and currently live in Utah.
John H. Heath is fascinated by history and inspired by accounts of how Jesus Christ works through His children to restore the gospel and gather them in the latter days. At the Church History Department of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, John works with teams across the Church to enhance their programs and publications with stories of amazing latter-day saints. He and his talented wife have five beautiful, hilarious children and three adorable granddaughters. He currently serves as the bishop of a Young Single Adult ward in Orem, Utah.
Kristen Howey Dimick lives near snowy Buffalo, New York, with her husband, Matt, and their fluffy dog, Oso. They’re new to the “empty nest” chapter of life and are adapting to the adventure. Kristen has spent more than 25 years working in public affairs, including serving as a spokesperson for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 2014 to 2016. A graduate of BYU and a Las Vegas native, she brings a unique perspective shaped by the desert, the mountains, and now the Great Lakes.
BJ when grew up in Centerville, Utah and then served a mission in Detroit, Michigan. Angie grew up in Farmington, Utah. They met and married while attending BYU. Since then they've had six kids and moved 11 times, with stops both in Utah and all across the midwestern United States for BJ's various jobs and schooling. Angie has a degree in Special Education and BJ has a PhD in Marketing. He teaches at BYU and loves attending sporting events there, and she is the CEO at home. Both BJ and Angie love Jesus Christ and His Gospel with all their hearts. Personal hobbies and interests often feel like something that existed in another life, but when they have a spare moment of time they're usually too tired to do anything more than sit next to each other and hold hands.
Cheryl Gerdy was born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, where her family joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She moved to Utah for nursing school and has since built a fulfilling career as a pediatric nurse. Cheryl loves traveling and learning about other cultures, having participated in a cultural exchange to Japan, a mission in Taiwan, and a study abroad in Amman Jordan. She enjoys reading, watching plays and musicals, and spending time with her blue eyed "baby" Pomeranian, Bentley. Cheryl adores her niece and nephews, often "borrowing" them for trips or time together. She's excited for the Lindon Utah Temple and takes weekly photos to document its progress.
Lisa Valentine Clark is a comedian, actor, and the host of “The Lisa Show,” a family and lifestyle podcast. Before her current gig, Lisa was a host for a BYU-TV program called “Random Acts.” Additionally, Lisa was a writer, producer, and main character in the web series Pretty Darn Funny, which won best director, best ensemble cast, and best YouTube channel from the Filmed in Utah awards and ran for two years. Lisa was also a co-producer and appeared in the role of Carrie Carrington in the popular movie Once I Was a Beehive, which came out in 2015. She also plays the same character in the 2021 sequel, Once I Was Engaged.
Amber had a wonderful and unique upbringing raised off grid by addict hippies who converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They ended up becoming a family of 15 including 8 adopted siblings. Yes, she knows what it’s like to live in a home with dirt floors, and no plumbing or electricity. She's definitely got stories and she shares a lot of them on her podcast, Hope Smiling Brightly with Amber Dawn Pearce and on Instagram @amberdawnpearce. But the most important thing she shares is what her life has taught her about the power of Jesus Christ.
