The LDS Church History Department recently opened their 10th International Art Exhibit, “Tell Me the Stories of Jesus,” at the LDS Church History Museum. The pieces selected for the exhibit were submitted by members of the Church around the world from Cambodia to California.

In addition, authorities counseled against trying to prove the gospel’s truth; however, they urged members to work diligently to spread the message of the Restoration so it can be heard above those who misrepresent LDS beliefs.

Of all the combinations of human relationships possible, the only one that can result in exaltation and eternal progression is the relationship found in the eternal marriage of a man and a woman. The Lord set the example for eternal marriage when he married Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden while they were still immortal. Marriage was never intended to be a temporary contract. It has always been intended to be eternally binding.
The opening section of this lesson talks about the missionary experiences of President Hinckley. It also gives some statistics about the growth of the Church during his time as President and Prophet. The question that arose in my mind while reading the stats given in the lesson has more to do with the work involved in attaining growth in the Church.
