On Sunday, September 13, President Henry B. Eyring, accompanied by Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, rededicated the Mexico City Temple in three sessions. President Eyring, whose great-grandfather was one of the first missionaries in Mexico City, also attended a special celebratory pageant the day before in Mexico City's Metropolitan Theater. The temple was originally dedicated by Gordon B. Hinckley in 1983, then rededicated by Thomas S. Monson in 2008. This was its second rededication. Check out some fun pictures from the events below!
One thing that immediately becomes apparent as you look at Eva Timothy’s “The Lord Is My Light”collection is that there are hands to lift and feet to wash but very few faces. It is without a doubt an interesting creative decision—so what caused Timothy, a fine art photographer who grew up behind the Iron Curtain, to omit faces in many of her pieces? And after years of photographing more secular collections that have been displayed in places like the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, what has it meant to Timothy to share the light of Christ in her most recent collection?
Here are five tips that I believe can help both you and your child get off to a good start with seminary and make the most of the opportunity to come closer to Christ.
When it comes to directness and inspiration—saying things how they are while still providing encouragement—no one can top Elder Jeffrey R. Holland. His extensive vocabulary, common sense, poetic language, wisdom, and faith just immediately put things into perspective.

Many years ago, my wife and I were students, had a small family, and had little disposable income. We had one car that had a cracked windshield. The crack wasn’t substantial, but being somewhat of a perfectionist, it bothered me. The only long-term solution was to replace the windshield, which was not in the budget. I lived with the cracked windshield for a couple of years until finally we had saved enough money to replace it. The new windshield was perfect, and I was almost deliriously happy to be rid of that unsightly crack. About a week later I was driving on the freeway. As I passed a large truck, it kicked up a rock that landed squarely on my windshield. It left a large crack.
From sharing her conversion story to praying the Spirit would touch people’s hearts, Miss Utah Sarah Sun has striven to be a window to the light of Christ. “So that when people see me, they see Him.”
If I were to ask which of the Lord's commandments is most difficult to keep, many of us might cite Matthew 5:48: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
