Eugene Orr is the son of David Orr and Martha Wilder Orr. He has four children. He was a founding member of the Genesis Group and was the second counselor in the first Genesis Group presidency. Eugene lived in Canada, where he worked as a naturopathic health counselor. He passed away on September 22, 2025, in Alberta, Canada.
Kristen Howey Dimick lives near snowy Buffalo, New York, with her husband, Matt, and their fluffy dog, Oso. They’re new to the “empty nest” chapter of life and are adapting to the adventure. Rebecca Miller is the instructor for the Independent Study Biblical Hebrew course at BYU and serves as an assistant instructor for HEB 131–132 on campus with Dr. Donald W. Parry. Before teaching Biblical Hebrew, she worked as a licensed dental hygienist for 14 years until she felt a strong prompting from the Lord to return to school to study Biblical Hebrew. Following that impression has led her into teaching and opened doors to grow both spiritually and academically. She is also a mother of seven and loves skiing, hiking, family history, and exploring National Parks with her husband and children. Learning and teaching Biblical Hebrew has strengthened her faith in the Lord and brought the scriptures alive with new meaning, and she loves sharing that same joy with others.
Courtney Spencer is a wife, mother to a 3-year-old and 9-month-old, and a convert to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having joined the Church at age 26 while living in New York City. She is the author of “Embrace the Hit”, a former National TV Host for CBS Deals on CBS Mornings and QVC, and co-founder of a fitness-tech startup later acquired by Beachbody. A lifelong athlete, she most recently trained and competed for seven years in the Winter Olympic sport of Skeleton.
TJ and Dixie Orton have been married for 23 years and are the proud parents of three teenagers. They first met in Orlando, Florida, while serving missions—an experience that sparked both their relationship and their shared commitment to faith and service. TJ, raised in the small town of Woodruff, Utah, values family, hard work, and the outdoors. Dixie is originally from Tucson, Arizona and she brings joy, creativity, and a deep love for others into their home. Together, they’ve built a life centered on love, laughter, and purpose.
Shannon Foster is a wife, mom, and former seminary teacher who helps people study the scriptures in the middle of real life—between laundry piles and carpool runs. She didn’t understand the scriptures when she was younger, and that experience has become her superpower in helping others truly fall in love with them. She's happiest in the mountains with her family, staying up late and losing at board games. She's the founder of The Red Headed Hostess, where she creates gospel learning tools that feel doable and deeply meaningful. She believes the Lord always makes a way—and that walking with Him leads to more than we ever imagined.
Shauna grew up in Illinois as the second of eight children and now enjoys spending time with her many nieces and nephews. She has taught Seminary and Institute for 28 years in Arizona, Utah, Washington, Idaho, and at BYU–Idaho. She currently serves as the coordinator for Seminaries and Institutes in Boston, Massachusetts. Shauna earned her bachelor’s degree in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Physics from Brigham Young University, followed by a master’s degree in Religious Education, also from BYU. She completed her doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at Liberty University.
James Goldberg is a poet, novelist, essayist, playwright, and occasional literary translator. He is the recipient of the Orson F. Whitney Outstanding Achievement Award from Storymakers and has won Association for Mormon Letters awards in Drama, Novel, and Creative Nonfiction. By day, he writes for the Church History Department.
Shawn Hunt has worked for Seminaries and Institutes of Religion for 30 years as a teacher, coordinator, pre-service trainer, and administrator. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Southern Utah University and a master’s in education from Weber State. He and his wife Mandy are the parents of five children. Shawn enjoys travel, family celebrations, and music. He is a self-proclaimed Christmas fanatic.
