This Christmas Eve, December 24, 2014, marks 100 years since a Christmas truce took place in Belgium during World War I. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is commemorating the anniversary by participating in the release of a video in a joint project with other faith groups.

This week two Latter-day Saints shared how faith was an important part of their journey as they both stepped away from and came back to the gridiron.
Alexander James Marra was killed in an avalanche in Rock Springs, Wyoming, on Saturday when he was partially buried in the snow and experienced "obvious signs of trauma," officials reported.
“As a person of faith, I believe that all of us living on this beautiful planet share a sacred responsibility to care for all of God’s children and to reach out to others in need, whoever they are and wherever they may be,” said Bishop Gérald Caussé, presiding bishop of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Geneva as he delivered a keynote address at a United Nations conference. Nearly 75 people attended the meeting, including diplomats from around the world.
