What is the status of the 18 temples President Nelson announced in October 2022 general conference?

President Russell M. Nelson announced 18 new temples worldwide during October 2022 general conference on Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022.

During last October's general conference, President Russell M. Nelson announced 18 new temples, which brought the total number of temples worldwide in operation, under construction, or announced to exactly 300.

With that announcement, President Nelson himself had announced a total of 118 temples, which is more than a third of all temples (operating, under construction, and announced).

Now, six months later, five of the 18 temples that President Nelson announced last conference have an identified site, and the other 13 are still in initial planning and design stages.

Here are the statuses of the 18 temples:

Busan, Korea: Initial design and planning
Naga, Philippines: Initial design and planning
Santiago, Philippines: Initial design and planning
Eket, Nigeria: Initial design and planning
Chiclayo, Peru: Initial design and planning
Buenos Aires City Center, Argentina: Initial design and planning
Londrina Brazil Temple: Site location announced Nov. 28, 2022.
Ribeirão Preto Brazil Temple: Site location announced Nov. 28, 2022.
Huehuetenango Guatemala Temple: Site location announced March 20, 2023.
Jacksonville, Florida: Initial design and planning
Grand Rapids Michigan Temple: Site location announced Nov. 7, 2022.
Prosper, Texas: Initial design and planning
Lone Mountain Nevada Temple: Site location announced Dec. 12, 2022.
Tacoma, Washington: Initial design and planning
Cuernavaca, Mexico: Initial design and planning
Pachuca, Mexico: Initial design and planning
Toluca, Mexico: Initial design and planning
Tula, Mexico: Initial design and planning
