How It Feels To Be A Returned Sister Missionary

I just returned home from my mission in Taiwan a few months ago. The jokes that everyone makes about coming home are true: it’s awkward, it’s fun, and it’s sometimes a bit difficult. Here are some of the feelings I had that surprised me.

Everything is exciting.

You see your family. You eat all of that food you’ve been craving. You get to go on really awkward dates. People keep asking you how your mission was, where you are going to college, what you are going to do with your life over and over again! It’s good times! Just have fun during this stage. As one member told me, “JUST BE HAPPY.” You have every excuse to be that awkward missionary and make your family pray when you go out to dinner.
