‘Your path is your path’: Spanish journalist testifies of divine guidance

Angie Balfour, former head of HR at Instagram and director of human resources at Facebook, shares the story of awaiting the details of a cancer diagnosis and experiencing a miracle in an unexpected way.

During the dedicatory service of a new Deseret Industries building in Houston, Texas, on March 24, 2021, Elder Sean Douglas of the Seventy said that Deseret Industries is similar to the Samaritan in the Bible who crosses man-made cultural boundaries to help someone in great need.

Questions were asked by the media and interpreted by Turner to Matsuyama. Matsuyama’s answers were then relayed back to the media through Turner.

When President Dallin H. Oaks received invitations to speak while serving as a counselor in the Chicago South Stake Presidency, he usually got impressions about what he should speak about.

When award-winning journalist Jane Clayson Johnson was in the depths of clinical depression, she didn’t want to talk about it. Feeling embarrassed and ashamed and living her life under the public eye, she wondered what people would think if she revealed her emotional state. But as she started to come out of that and began talking with other people, she began to realize how many people had a similar experience as her.

McKay prophesied that we would "improve the means of communications until, with radio in our pockets, we may communicate with friends and loved ones from any point, at any given moment." In 1974, President Spencer W. Kimball said, “The Lord is anxious to put into our hands inventions of which we laymen have hardly had a glimpse.” This week in a podcast with Church News, Elder Quentin L. Cook said of new technologies, we now have to “learn how to use them and we’ve got to use them so they’ll bless people.” Elder Cook believes recognizing the potential uses of technology was just one blessing that has come out of a very difficult time over the last year.
