5 ways to build unity in your ward and family

Michael Coe, Yale University’s Charles J. MacCurdy professor emeritus of anthropology, is an eminent scholar of ancient Mesoamerica and the author of a widely read book, The Maya, that is now in its ninth edition.

This is the third article in a three-part series on Jesus Christ's teachings about families found in the Gospels. Honoring parents can shape the character of families and even how members interact with one another. President Russell M. Nelson of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and his wife, Wendy, along with Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and his wife, Mary, will travel to Latin America at the end of August for ministry devotionals with Latter-day Saints and others. The global faith leaders will visit five countries in nine days from August 24 to September 2, 2019.

Elder Shayne M. Bowen shared 11 principles for a more meaningful fast at a devotional on Tuesday at the LDSBC in Salt Lake.

Did you know that our prophet has perfect pitch? Latter-day Saints in Fiji were able to witness this fun fact in action at a devotional President Nelson gave during his Pacific Ministry Tour. At one point during the devotional, President Nelson asked all the children to bear testimony with him through song as together they sang "I Am a Child of God." About his experience in Suva, Fiji, President Nelson posted on Instagram:
