How one artist captures the Savior’s presence without painting Him

Several years ago, I decided to leave the banking executive world to pursue a career as a mental health professional. I did this for two reasons: 1) I wanted to feel like I was doing more with my life than managing home loans and 2) I was inspired by the wise counsel of a dear friend who, when I asked her why she chose to be a psychologist, said, “There are many difficult things individuals have to go through in life, but they should not have to do it alone.”

How many times have you gone to church, said hi to a few people, sat through class, maybe made a comment or two, picked up the kids from Primary, and headed home, only to feel the same as you did before you left?

It enables us to find new recipes to try for family or church events; it helps us to find inspiration; we can use to share the message of the Gospel; and Pinterest provides dozens of thrifty ways to make our homes look pleasant without spending a lot of money. It's also a well-known fact that some of these Pinterest ideas end up looking nothing like their internet counterparts.

Have you ever noticed that when people talk about their trials in a public setting, they tend to focus on what happened at the end? They talk about the miracle, the promise, the way it all worked out. It isn’t often that people talk about what happened in the middle of the trial.

In some cases, warnings may come as thoughts to our mind. In other cases, they will come as feelings. Many times both thoughts and feelings are involved.
