During the early years of my marriage, I was often overcome with feelings of disappointment that my relationship with my husband wasn’t very strong. In fact, as time continued, I grew apprehensive whenever we had to be together for any length of time. I wasn’t enjoying life, my children, or my marriage. It seemed to be all work and no fun.

I remember when a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles brought me to tears. He shed a few tears with me.

"In the Church, we rightly talk a lot about the priesthood, or God’s power on the earth. From conversations I’ve had with women and men over the years, there are some things we get wrong when it comes to understanding God’s power and who has access to it," Sister Sharon Eubank, first counselor in the general Relief Society presidency, recently shared on Facebook. "All men and women who make covenants and keep them have the ability to draw priesthood power into their lives. The real question isn’t 'Do you have the priesthood?' but 'What are you doing with the priesthood power you have?' The essential nature of priesthood power is to bless and improve the lives of others."

Although her life may look different than she imagined, through the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases, Ann has found a mission to fulfill.

Fall Wardrobe 2020

In December 1839 the Prophet Joseph Smith and Elias Higbee traveled to Washington D.C., to seek redress from the government for the losses suffered by the persecuted and beleaguered Latter-day Saints. In their meeting with President Martin Van Buren, Joseph recorded that the president “interrogated us wherein we differed in our religion from the other religions of the day.” If you had been in the room and had been asked to respond to President Van Buren’s question, how would you have answered?

Autumn is one of the best times of the year. Not only is it almost time for general conference but it’s also that time for thousands of Latter-day Saints to gather together as a mission once again to reminisce on great times had in the mission field.
