The stories from the Old Testament Book of Daniel have been celebrated for over two millennia. Daniel in the lion’s den and the fiery wrath of Nebuchadnezzar against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego are staples of biblical learning. They have been integral in the shaping of Judeo-Christian culture. Their examples are used in teaching firmness and faith, trusting in God, and building moral character.
