The Church has announced a groundbreaking date for the Ribeirão Prêto Brazil Temple and renderings for the Maceió Brazil and Huehuetenango Guatemala Temples.
The flags are one of several art installations on Temple Square symbolizing the global nature of the Church of Jesus Christ and its commitment to be a friend to all nations.
"Here [in the Kirtland Temple] … the Savior appeared on the breastplate of the pulpit, and after Him three heavenly messengers—Moses, Elias, and Elijah—restoring necessary keys for the kingdom to come back to the earth and to roll forward.”
The Church has named Derrick Porter as the new executive producer, principal writer, and presenter of “Music & the Spoken Word,” replacing Lloyd Newell, who has served for the past 34 years.
The Knoxville Tennessee Temple was announced in April 2022 by President Nelson, and plans call for a single-story temple of approximately 30,000 square feet.
These new leaders will assist the Young Men General Presidency as they counsel with other general and local Church leaders to teach, serve, and watch over young men ages 12 through 18.
The dedication of the Orem Utah Temple “marks a milestone in the progress of the kingdom of God on the Earth, and particularly in this vital part of His vineyard,” said Elder Christofferson.
