During his final year at law school at Duke University, David Todd Christofferson applied for a prestigious clerkship with Judge John J. Sirica. Despite there being over 200 other applicants, Sirica was impressed by the young Mormon family man, selecting him for the position.

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced open house and dedication dates for the San Salvador El Salvador Temple. The public is invited to visit the temple during an open house from Friday, 1 July 2011, until Saturday, 23 July 2011, excluding Sundays. The temple will be formally dedicated on Sunday, 21 August 2011, in three sessions. The dedicatory sessions will be broadcast to congregations of the Church within the temple district.
After going quiet for several months, the proposal to build a two-story, 30,000-square-foot Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints temple in southeast Fort Collins is back in the foreground. It has been more than a year since church representatives first brought up plans to build a temple across the street from the current Mormon chapel in Fort Collins. No formal plans have been submitted yet but the city is going ahead with a meeting Monday to give neighbors a chance to see preliminary site plans and ask questions.
