Seminary and institute teachers today received instruction and guidance from leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints during an annual worldwide training broadcast designed to help them fulfill their roles as teachers and mentors for young members of the Church.

President Jean B. Bingham has seen firsthand how President Nelson’s noteworthy and unique perspective has been a blessing to Latter-day Saint women.

In 1980 I walked through Hezekiah’s tunnel. It was an astonishing stroll. We made our way through the darkness with the uncertain aid of flashlights and sang hymns about light: “Lead Kindly Light,” “The Lord Is my Light,” “There Is Sunshine in my Soul Today,” and so on. The tunnel is not straight. It bends and angles many times through nearly 1,800 feet. The Jews built the tunnel to bring water into the city as a hedge against an Assyrian siege.

As the sun begins to make the day's first appearance, the cattle ranch already bustles with activity. A handful of cowboys saddle up quarter horses to move herds into new pastures, while others prep corrals and chutes for branding calves. Eagles and hawks look to circle the morning sky and share it with heron and cranes, while deer and rabbits make their way back to woodland edges, as do the wild hogs. Meanwhile, massive tractors, graders and front loaders are lined up, to be used to reshape the land, while ranch airboats are primed for the waterways. Laborers prepare for the day's harvest in the citrus groves, while every mammal — including ranch hands and their dogs — will keep a wary eye out for nearby alligators.

Ruth grew up in Sandy, Utah and currently resides in South Jordan, Utah with her husband and four children. She has degrees from both the University of Utah and the University of Phoenix. Aside from that, she’s probably a lot like your Grandma. She likes to spend time with family, is addicted to the library app, and listening to audiobooks while cleaning. Her favorite hobbies are digging in the yard, doing Monday-level New York Times crossword puzzles, and taking care of her family (including extended family and those friends she claims as family). Ruth delights in thrift stores and has a talent for finding good things. Other hobbies include watching documentaries, America’s Test Kitchen, and Monty Don gardening shows. She shows her love to others by cooking and baking for them, and she is the neighborhood go-to for missing ingredients. Fun facts include that she can rarely follow a recipe exactly, and that she has a habit of tinkering in the kitchen using only what she has on hand. According to her kids, she is “really good at cooking,” the “best mom in the world,” “caring,” and “good at drawing slugs."

INTRODUCTION: The pattern followed in Moses 5 is the pattern still followed by Lucifer and his fallen angels. Whenever truth is taught or righteousness appears, Lucifer will make an effort to counteract the effects of such activity. After Adam and Eve were taught the fundamentals of the atonement, they “blessed the name of God, and they made all things known unto their sons and their daughters” (Moses 5:12).
