The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has approved the phased reopening of Church historic sites in May 2021. These sites closed last spring due to COVID-19.

To understand the scope and importance of being obedient to the laws of the gospel of Christ, we should first look at why they are in place, and what they mean for us. First, let’s look at why the Church and kingdom of God need to be on the earth.

I thought, “That’s a pretty vague topic.” I began to ponder what exactly I may speak about to that ward on Sunday. However, not really anything came to my mind throughout the week.
This marvelous lesson focuses on the blessings, lessons, covenants, and power of the temple in our lives. Our temples truly are “symbols of all we hold dear.” They are physical buildings in mortality that give us access to our most prized covenants for eternity.
One of the main points I have taken away from this lesson is the privilege that is ours to have living prophets. As you look at some of the quotes from the lesson, try to see your life and what it would be like without a living prophet available in it to make a difference. Where would we really be without continuous revelation?
There are very few things I can stand at a pulpit and testify I know are true. Among them are that I know my Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother love me with an infinite, unfathomably deep and perfect love, and they are far more merciful to me than I deserve. The second is that I know that Jesus Christ, my brother and Savior, died for me, knows me—my pains, shortcomings, sins, weaknesses, joys, and strengths—entirely, and that He has never and will never abandon me.
