We all need to remember from time to time the love our Heavenly Father has for us, in every circumstance. President Uchtdorf gave the following reminder that God is always mindful of us and our desires in a recent Facebook post:
As a returned missionary, there is one thing that is pounded into us more than anything else. That we need to date and get married. But I ran into a problem... As a guy, I don't understand women, and the more I date, the more confused I get.

The LDS Church’s for-profit firm City Creek Reserve is behind the construction of the $2 billion mixed-use shopping space that spans two city blocks just across the street from Temple Square. And what’s amazing is that the Church paid for City Creek with cash, not using a dime of member tithing money. A lot of members, including LDS Living readers, are in support of the shopping center, but I’ve also read comments questioning the Church’s use of money. Some think the Church should be using the money to build temples, and others have even called City Creek “great and spacious.” But I don’t see it that way at all.
Some time ago I blogged about a new seminary manual on the Doctrine and Covenants released by the Church. The manual is significant because it includes discussions of sensitive topics related to Church history, such as the multiple accounts of the First Vision, the Mountain Meadows Massacre and the Utah War, the history of plural marriage, and the history of the priesthood ban. It appears that by including these topics the Church is taking steps towards more transparency when it comes to its history and "inoculating" its young members who are likely to encounter antagonistic websites that can easily blindside them with these issues if they aren't prepared.
To find the perfect recipe, you first need the perfect ingredients. And that's what our founders Dena Tripp and Debbie Shwetz were for each other. In 1997, they joined forces, or better yet kitchens, to make cakes for their friends and family. The cakes they made were delicious, unlike anything anyone had tasted. As a result, their friends and family asked them to entertain more and more.
I was reading the Book of Mormon once when a familiar passage was clarified. The passage from Mormon 7 teaches:
Infertility is a hard subject for couples in the Church, where the family is the focus. It can cause tremendous stress in a marriage, pain, and questioning. Recently, Alo Moli shared his story on Twitter about his family's struggle with infertility and faith. The following story has been edited for length and clarity.
