With the help of technology, flour, and a whiteboard, three elders in the California San Diego Mission shared a simple but powerful message: “Jesus loves you.”

It is a shame to say that I do not have many memories with my grandpa. Since the time I can remember, he had always been confined to a bed because of his multiple health problems. Being one of the youngest children in my family, I did not experience those times when Grandpa was young and healthy.
Inspirational Messages, formerly known as Mormon Messages, have been produced by the Church for about a decade and cover many topics relating to Church members.
INTRODUCTION: In Leviticus 19:18, the Lord commanded, Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD.” This is a commandment given 11 times in the scriptures. In its narrowest view, it is counsel for survival, because if ‘neighbor’ means only the family next door or around the corner, we either ‘love’ them or we live in bitterness and distrust.
Sometimes we might feel as if we are planted in a challenging place, wondering if we will even last the season.
This is the second part of a four-part series from Elder Bruce C. Hafen about helping those who may be dealing with questions or doubts based on Faith Is Not Blind, the book he and his wife, Marie, co-authored.This series is adapted from an address Elder Hafen gave to religious educators.
It’s 9:30 p.m. and I’m leaving my house. It feels so strange that the neighbor’s kids are likely already asleep. I don’t think I’ve left to go anywhere after children’s bedtimes since before the pandemic began.

“Ye must pour out your souls in your closets, and your secret places, and in your wilderness.” 1 This invitation from Amulek is very inspiring. The problem is that little voice that comes in your head that says “well my closet can’t even fit all my stuff, how can I pour out my soul in there?”So we don’t pour out our souls in our closet. And too often we don’t pour out our souls at all because we don’t find that secret place where we can connect with God. Well, here are a few closets and “secret place” ideas where you CAN pour out your soul. No more excuses from that little voice. Full-time missionaries (remember this?) pray 23 times a day if they make 5 visits and 33 if they have 10 visits. Many times more. Why do we not pray as much after the mission? It’s time to make a change. It’s time to draw nearer to God. We need to #praymore.
