Why I’m so grateful someone pushed through awkwardness to serve

Ellen DeGeneres, Jimmy Fallon, Steve Harvey, Conan O'Brien—when these celebrities and Mormons get together, magic happens. And often, laughter soon follows.

While President of BYU, Elder Jeffrey R. Holland gave a devotional entitled, “Of Souls, Symbols, and Sacraments.” Within this address, he talks about the sanctity of physical intimacy. More specifically, he tells Latter-day Saints three reasons why sexual purity is so crucial to our salvation: it affects our souls, it is a sacred symbol, and it is a sacrament.

Marriage advice might not seem like the kind of topic you would traditionally find at a conference for office professionals, but it was on the mind of John Bytheway as he presented a lecture on the subject to BYU professionals gathered at the annual Office Professionals Conference (OPAC) Friday.

One of the three LDS The Voice contestants, Aaliyah Rose, won her voice battle against Savannah Leighton while singing “Treat You Better” by Shawn Mendes as part of the battles premiere yesterday. Still on team Gwen, she will move on to the knockout round. The other LDS contestants have yet to compete in battles.
