Pres. Christofferson’s powerful promise to youth—that’s true for everyone

Are mental health challenges part of divine design for our growth? Are they effects of choices made by others that afflict our development?

In 1848, my great great grandfather, George Jarvis, was the caretaker for the most famous ship in the history of the British Royal Navy, the HMS Victory, which had been Admiral Nelson’s flagship at the naval victory of Trafalgar. He and his wife Ann Prior Jarvis were living on the ship, which was then moored on the Thames River downstream from London, and raising their family on a pension from the Royal Navy, which George had earned through years of service to her majesty, Queen Victoria.

Even though I love what I do in the financial industry, I have always had an adoration for real estate. I enjoy perusing new listings, checking out open houses, and imagining the possibilities! Lately, this has been harder to do because of extremely low inventory across Utah—and in much of the country.

Dr. James Reichman's family heritage of dedicated physicians began in 1888 when his then 12-year-old great-great-grandfather, Gustav Reichman, emigrated from Germany to Salt Lake City. Gus was poor but not afraid of hard work. He dedicated his life to his family, church, and fellowmen. He was known for his kindness and charity. His passing in the Salt Lake Temple in 1947 was befitting of his character, devotion, and heart.

Over the years many people have often wondered what kind of organization is the Inspirational Art Association? According to Cindy Latimore the organization's Director and Curator, the IAA which it is often referred, shares that its purpose is as stated in their mission statement: Our mission is to foster the creation and promotion of inspirational art, to showcase wholesome content, and to extend its influence to individuals, homes, and communities throughout the world. Over the years the IAA not only has brought inspiring artists together from around the world but also has extended its presence in the world of music. All art mediums and music are considered inspirational. Since 2010 when the IAA was first organized, it has grown to be a worldwide organization. The yearly summer photoshoots and the Christmas Season Art Showcase embodies exactly what the organization has held true to since the IAA’s beginning. In my capacity as the Director, I assist in promoting, networking, educating, and keeping this magnificent organization in the limelight to help not only the artists themselves but to share their stories. Not only is the artwork or song inspiring but the artist had to have inspiration prior to painting or producing their masterpieces that people hunger to know about.
